Figment coffee is located on Countesswells Road and aims to bring the best coffee offerings to the city by sourcing the finest beans and roasting them on premises.
Last night we had the pleasure of being invited to the launch party of a new local coffee shop in Aberdeen.
The building is industrial yet modern, but with plenty of open space it gives you lots of surfaces to rest your cup whether you want to sit, stand or relax in one of the padded benches around the walls.
Food was served from the menu devised by Masterchef winner Jamie Scott who collaborated with founder and owner Neil Glover to create a food and coffee partnership like no other in the city.
After settling in and hearing how the idea came to life from Neil, we were given a look around the roasting area of the coffee shop where we had the chance to learn more about the origins of the beans and how they go from the start of the process through to the perfect cup.
We also got to try a cup of their filter coffee which was served black to ensure that we got to really taste the flavours.
Figment is open now to the public and I can guarantee that we will be back up to give the menu a try.
Oh and if you do visit, make sure to check out the instagrammable section just outside the bathroom doors. They definitely make a great backdrop.
